1. Agreement
By using Heirloom Letters (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Heirloom Letters is operated at heirloomletters.net.
2. The Service
Heirloom provides a guided letter-writing subscription service. Subscribers receive one writing prompt per month for twelve months, write personal letters through our web application, and may order a professionally printed hardcover book of their completed letters.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use Heirloom.
4. Subscriptions and Payment
Heirloom offers monthly and annual subscription plans. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
5. Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on new subscriptions. If you are not satisfied within 14 days of your initial purchase, contact us for a full refund. Book orders cannot be refunded once production has begun, unless the product is defective.
6. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all letters and content you create through Heirloom. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. We will not use, share, or publish your letters without your explicit consent, except as necessary to provide the Service (e.g., printing your book when you order one).
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems; interfere with or disrupt the Service; or use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others.
8. Book Orders
When you order a hardcover book, we use a third-party printing and fulfilment partner. Production typically takes 2–3 weeks. Shipping times vary by location. We are not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier.
9. Gift Subscriptions
Gift subscriptions are non-refundable after the recipient has activated their account. If the recipient has not activated within 90 days, you may request a refund or transfer.
10. Limitation of Liability
Heirloom is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep the Service reliable and your data secure, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
